breve storia

The ISAO OKANO CLUB 97-ASD Cinisello Balsamo association was born in September 1992 with the name of Isao Okano on the initiative of Mr. Mirco Cavazzuti, president of the association until December 2004, and other founding members. It immediately established itself at a national and international competitive level thanks to the excellent work done by the technician Diego Brambilla (Olympian in Atlanta - black belt 6th dan) and to the good skills of a very small group of athletes, including: Cinzia and Annalisa Cavazzuti, Manuela Paron Cilli and Klaudia Piragino who immediately and repeatedly impose themselves in the absolute and team Italian championships.

In 1997 the name of the association was enriched with the wording "CLUB 97" to indicate the new course, not only competitive but also training for the youngest, and again, to spread the JUDO discipline at all levels and, after 5 years. at the gym of the Bauer schools in via dei Partigiani, he arrives at the Palasport 'Salvador Allende' where he still carries out his activity.
The 1997-2000 competitive four-year period still brings great satisfactions with the international results of Cinzia Cavazzuti and Donata Burgatta, who landed in Cinisello at the end of '96. With them Isao Okano Club 97 is present and medaled in the most important competitions such as the European Championships, individual and in teams, the Mediterranean Games and the World Championships: reaching the peak with the 5th place of Cinzia Cavazzuti at the Sydney 2000 Olympics.

At a competitive level, the tradition continues with excellent results. Several athletes continue to establish themselves nationally by bringing titles and medals both in individual and team national championships and, internationally, they are part of the national teams.
In 2004 Rostand Melaping, with the colors of the national team of his country, Cameroon, participated in the Athens Olympics, while Mauro Pasta took part in the European team championships. In 2005 Cristina Verga takes part in the European under 23 championships and in 2006 Pasta is still the owner of the European senior championships.
In 2009 Amedeo Accorsi was ranked 5th in the u.20 European championships and in the same year he took part in the u.20 world championships, and again in 2010 Miranda Giambelli is the owner of the u.20 European championships.
Since 2009 the women's team returns to conquer the first squares of the national team championships, 4 times bronze (2009,2010,21012,2014) and then silver (2011) in front of the military teams the A1 series and gold in A2 (2014 ). In 2016 the men's team, which has participated in the top league of the Italian senior team championship since 1997, won bronze
in Serie A1, returning to the podium after the 2003 bronze, and repeating it in 2017. The team is still in the top division.

Since 2008, some competitive athletes have approached sambo (Russian version of judo) and for Isao Okano Club 97 more laurels still arrive, both nationally and internationally: Cristina Verga wins the silver and Mattia Galbiati the bronze at the senior European Championships and is 5th at the European Games in Minsk. La Verga is ranked 5th at the Sport Accord Games.
IOC97 athletes participate in the highest continental and world competitions with the gold of Giulia Aragozzini and the silver of Miranda Giambelli at the junior world championships and then Giambelli goes on the podium again for silver at the senior world championships.

In 2015 and 2016 Miranda Giambelli conquered the oceanic continental title of judo, in 2015 she participated in the senior World Championships, then in 2016 she participated in the Masters in Mexico and the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, the third IOC97 athlete to achieve this goal.
In 2017 and 2019 IOC97 returns to the podium of the absolute Italian judo championships with Samuele Fascinato, first bronze and then silver medal.

In conclusion, the athletes of Isao Okano Club 97 have won more than 100 medals at the national judo and sambo championships in all age groups and taken part in all the most important international competitions: Olympics, world championships, continental championships, World Cup and European Cup, Mediterranean Games, Sport Accord Games, Continental Games, from under 17 to absolute and master level.
Isao Okano Club 97 also organizes since 2003 an international summer Judo Camp open to boys and girls from the age of 12, which was attended by athletes from Germany, Switzerland, France, Austria, Denmark, as well as from Italy. Spain and even from India and Australia.

the competitive team

This is the group of athletes: therefore aimed at the competition. Technique, tactics and athletic preparation, but always with an eye to the harmonious development of the individual in order to form complete and absolute value samples. In this group are included the champions of the Isao Okano Club 97 who train every day (some even 2 times a day).

center of excellence

In addition to being one of the best judo clubs in Italy, Isao Okano Club 97 is also a training center of excellence.
In fact, from 1997 to 2004 the Fijlkam Regional Committee (Italian Federation of Judo Karate Martial Arts Fight) chose it as the location for regional judo training.
In 2003-2004 it is also home to the Croatian Olympic team which, under the guidance of Diego Brambilla, faces qualification for the Athens Games.
In 2005, and until the end of 2008, the Federation promoted him to the Specialization Technical Center (CTS), one of the 5 in Italy, for athletes of national interest in view of the Beijing Olympics.
In the summer of 2009 the Australian Olympic team also trained at Isao Okano Club 97, at the Palisport in Cinisello, during the tour in Europe for the World Cup practice and in preparation for the absolute world championships in Rotterdam.
Over the years, it has also been and still is the training center for many 'professional' athletes of the military teams of the Army, Forestry and Prison Police, as well as blue and foreign high-level athletes from France, Spain, Switzerland, Australia, New Zealand , who find, in addition to the professionalism of Diego Brambilla and the IOC97 staff, also a high-level training group motivated to always improve their results and an optimal structure to support them (also open in the morning).

gymnastics center PSYCHOMOTORY preparatory

Since 2005, Isao Okano Club 97-ASD has also offered preparatory psychomotor gymnastics courses (later called psychomotor skills) for kindergarten children (3-5 years).

The course, given the 'particular criticality' of this stage of the developmental age, is organized under the supervision of a doctorate graduate in neuropsychomotricity and with the advice of graduate psychomotorists.
The term "PSYCHOMOTOR" refers to the period of the child's life, ranging from 0 to 8 years, in which mind and body act in an integrated and inseparable way: this is the psychomotor period par excellence in which to act is to think and think is to act . The natural path that the child takes in this age group therefore goes from body to thought. PSYCHOMOTRICITY is concerned with welcoming and supporting this original and global way of the child to confront and relate to himself and the world around him, accompanying him on his path of maturation and growth. The goal of the psychomotor proposal is not to develop specialized motor skills, but to stimulate the growth, change and development of the child as an active subject (i.e. architect) of his experience. The body originally constitutes the only source of construction of thought, therefore psychomotricity becomes the privileged activity to stimulate this structuring process, because starting from a deep bodily experience it aims to lead the child to a more cognitive and mental level of experience. Each psychomotor session offers the child, week by week, a path that goes from body to mental, through free and spontaneous play. Each meeting, therefore, provides for a temporal organization that marks the stages of this path. The 4 courses are taught by psychomotor and neuropsychomotricist graduates / graduates on Tuesday and Thursday always at the Palasport 'Allende'. because starting from a deep bodily experience it aims to lead the child to a more cognitive and mental level of experience.
